These two young girls were murdered on Christmas Day. Their father was charged with second degree murder yesterday. I attended a vigil for them at Christ Church Cathedral. Their teacher stood up and said that one of the young girls had been in a Nativity play the day before. She played Archangel Gabriel, bringing good tidings to Mary. Children were weeping, parents held each other, and now an entire community grieves.
I grieve too and yet I also look at the higher perspective of what this act means to all of us, regardless of whether this is a child in Canada, Syria, Moscow....What an act like this does, and we saw the same response in the aftermath of horrific hurricanes that deluged parts of the US recently, is that it tears away portions of our disguise. Those protective mechanisms that we have used for thousands of years to guard our hearts and our 3D existence, an existence that is rapidly falling away now as the Earth and humanity ascends.
We are left vulnerable and aghast at the act itself, and in that moment of fissure within our hearts, the Light comes in.
