Here is what freedom means to me:
- To love without reserve or worry, and to know that you are absolutely loved in return.
- As a correlative to this, to arrive at a place where you experience unequivocal and unconditional love, and know that this does not require you to perform for someone else, or to seek someone else's approval, which is ultimately of no concern to you anyway.
- And that this love comes from a very sacred place.
- to create freely and from the heart, and to absolutely not care what others think of you, or your creations.
- to be free from the toxic stranglehold of ego and to know that you are not there to fulfill anyone else's dream except your own.
- to be free of those who say they love you, when in your heart you know this is not true
- and finally,
- to sip a fine Malbec in your new home and listen to the rain washing away all concerns you might have that you have crossed the country to finally find a place that accepts you for who you are, and where you know that you can finally, finally, be yourself, and live out your destiny fully. Which is, after all, what you intended all along.
