One of the ancient art forms that I love dearly is that of the Persian miniature. I am convinced that I was one of these artists in another dimension of space and time because an image like this one can hold me captive for quite awhile.
I mean, how did they manage this? How were they able to encapsulate life in that moment so completely, and with such exquisite detail and in such a small area? I am both baffled and enraptured.
And yet I feel that all of us are being asked to live our lives in this way now. The time that we are in, and this will grow markedly more intense next year, is so powerful that if we wish to create our Heaven on Earth we need to move moment by moment, paint stroke by paint stroke, clear and focused with every brushstroke we make. When that moment is over, we begin the process again. We lay down the colors and the textures of our world, first in outline and then we fill this in, lovingly tending all of the minute and incredible details of who we are, who is in our world and who we love, including the animals, including the Angels and our beautiful Guides, we write about our wondrous Earth, laboring to bring one frame into perfection before we begin another.
In this way, by the time this incarnation is complete, we will have written for ourselves the most amazing and spectacular book of all: The Book of our Incredible Lives. And we will have co-created, with other miniaturists a beautiful New World.
At times we will be alone in the frame, as it should be. At times we will be with others, but at the end there is only one signature on this marvelous book: our own.
