When I came to Vancouver close to a year ago to assess whether I wanted to move back I found myself captured completely by her beauty to the extent that I wondered why I had left in the first place.
Oh yes, I traveled abroad to serve a corporate agenda for awhile and when I returned to Canada I spent a few years in Nova Scotia, a wildly beautiful part of the world with an erratic energy and a heartbeat that serves to remind all that Nature is in control and that one should never grow complacent. It felt to me like a restless place that never felt peace.
But here, especially after a glorious day walking beside beaches and through scent filled lane ways filled with impossibly beautiful flowers and the rich scent of the earth and trees and the pungent smell of the ocean, I finally felt a strong sense of arriving at a place that can only be called "home".
The energy here is constant and steady, the thrum of the world is even, as though the Creator paused in His/Her garden after its creation and falling in love with a work of exquisite and unparalleled beauty, rested content.
As I do.
