I remember taking a walk through my neighborhood in the fall of 2019, thinking how miraculous the colors were, the embrace of yellow, fuchsia and reds in the leaves, the scent of the Earth...and the absolute stillness of the air.
It was so still that it stopped me in my tracks and I remember thinking that, at that moment, everything was in the "still point", the zero point of stasis, as though the Earth had spiraled to completion in that trajectory and was soon going to reverse and start a new phase.
Little did I realize how swiftly that change would come, and how in the space of a very brief period of time the entire world was changed. Nature, it seemed, got our attention quickly and we were clearly shown who was in control.
There will be no going back to what was, as 2020 marked the beginning point of this change only. "Turbulent" and momentous" are good words to describe what lies ahead.
I just finished reading The Land Beyond the Sea by Sharon Kay Penman, that marvelous writer of historical fiction. It is a massive tome that depicts the overthrow of Jerusalem by Saladin in 1187. It talks of a world of crusaders, Kings and Queens, treachery, and alliances that were swiftly broken, not only amongst the Christians but also amongst the Muslims who often turned against themselves as well.
It was a world that also swiftly changed. In one moment it was largely a Christian world around Jerusalem and then that world was swiftly supplanted by the Muslims who overturned reality in Outremer and eliminated a way of life for the Christians, completely.
The changes that we are going through now are going to be just as swift, and we should be grateful for this as we believe that all that is not in harmony with the Light will fall to the wayside. Treachery, greed and "power over" are not in our future. We should not have fallen as far as we did.
We do not believe, for a moment, that the swiftness of the changes that are now upon us, are punishment.
But they are necessary, and will save us from the trajectory of annihilation that we were on.
This is a one way transit...for all of us.
