The power of the lunar eclipse

The lunar eclipse that occurred in the early hours of April 4th in my part of the world at least held a power that we will see reverberating throughout the Earth for a long time.

It comes on a sacred weekend for those who adhere to Christianity and also for those who celebrate Passover. The unique conjoining of these two sacred events, with the total eclipse of  the moon, dubbed the "Red Moon", the "Blood Moon":  red for the blood of the Angels who passed through Egypt and marked the doors with the blood of the sacrificial lamb, and red for the blood of the slain Christ, crucified and left to die on a cross.

The lunar eclipse in our time happened in those hours just after that historical event, Good Friday, as some say a solar eclipse happened as he died.  We, in the Christian tradition, are in the tomb with him right now until the resurrection of the Easter morning.

But this resurrection, especially now as we move to a new level of ascendancy in the planet, regardless of the traditions that we follow, is not about a "Messiah" that came to atone for our  sins....we need to do this individually.  We should be celebrating his life,  not his death: his joyous, serene, happy and peaceful life as he moved among us showing us to to live, and how to achieve union with God, not by attending the synagogue or later, the Church that was set up in his name, but by  going inside our own temple, because that is where God lives.
