There has always been great emphasis placed on the "Law Of Karma", and how our actions in a previous lifetime will determine the outcome of the experiences that we have now.
Some have posited that the karmic repercussions of one life spill over so quickly into the other that if they are not resolved in that former life then they inform the new creation and can decide his/her fate, which may account for why some children die young, and so on. This is one of life's great mysteries.
I have also heard it said that karma is like a pond wherein a pebble is dropped. So that every single action or thought that we emit goes to the farthest reaches of the universe and comes back to us like the ripples on that pond. We feel the karmic repercussions of our thoughts viscerally and realistically.
I think that this is an interesting thought, but what I think is even more interesting is that this karmic return, which we believe drifts slowly through cosmic space to meet us when we embody again, is now coming back to us in our new Earth in minutes, even seconds. Such is the accelerated time that we are now living in. There is no more room for darkness, dark thoughts or punitive actions, not unless you want to feel to feel its boomerang effect in your life immediately.
There is also another theory that has been posited, that of the "Law of Grace", which trumps the "Law Of Karma", and dissolves everything into Divinity so that our karmic actions are erased. But when I heard this theory it seemed to smack of the same kind of energy that the Roman Catholic Church and the confessional posits, as an example, where a few "Mea Culpas" will dissolve everything not divine: thoughts, words and deeds so that you can continued to truck along until the next confessional episode. This worked great in the crusades where the absolute extermination of the "infidel" granted you immediate access to heaven where divine absolution and entry into heaven was guaranteed.
Unfortunately, the "Law of Grace" does not work this way. First of all, you have to believe in an actual Being called God, not in some new age concept of "we are the Divine, we are God". Although that is certainly true, and you realize this the higher you ascend, it is important to believe and enter into an actual relationship with an actual Father/Mother God of love, who is very much orchestrating the New Earth and its changes that we, in this generation, are now firmly immersed within. It is not enough to play with the "Law of Grace", or with the idea of an actual God who sees all and who oversees all and who certainly sees deep into our hearts and our intentions despite outward acts of piety.
Because when you say to this Being, when you say to God, "May Thy Will be done", you had better be serious, because God will then demand everything from you, and not just a couple of hours on Sunday, or when you say your daily prayers, or the time you spend in a confessional, or when you experience moments of transcendental bliss.
The "Law of Grace" implies that when you say "May Thy Will be done" you are actually setting aside your free will, and allowing Spirit to guide you completely, which it will do for your highest good and for the greatest good of all. This is the Sacred Law of the time that we currently inhabit, and which will inform the New Earth as time goes on. If you are not prepared to do this, then stay at home, visit your confessional if applicable, and continue on with your prayers as you have done.
There is a story in the Bible that I love. It is about a rich man who was completely immersed in the material world and yet he was fascinated by Jesus and truly wanted to follow him.
"What must I do, Lord"? he asked.
And Jesus, who knew in advance what his answer would be said to this man, "Sell all your possessions, and follow me."
And the man, knowing that he could not do that, turned away sadly.
The "Law of Grace", or God, demands everything from you, absolutely everything.
Especially now.
