The inversion of a Sacred message

My reading seems to go in themes, unwittingly.  And so for the past couple of weeks I keep on attracting historical novels that talk about the Catholic Church and its hierarchy,  and its utter distortion and misuse of a holy message, and a holy man, for their own ends.

Of course, there are wonderful acts of great kindness and humanity that take place under the rubric of organized religion today, but in reviewing the often diabolical and inhumane dictates of the Church in history one is left to wonder which message its hierarchy was following, and how they could have inverted the message of Jesus so profoundly, and for their own ends.

If you believe that it is his death "for our sins" that is the keystone of Christianity, then the message has been missed completely.  If you believe that you are wicked and that you can only be "saved" through him then you have succumbed to the message of the Church, not of this great Master.

He didn't come here to die for anyone.  He came here with a profound message of our OWN sacredness, and of our multi-dimensional nature as galactic Beings, and of our God consciousness within.  Our Divine Nature.  He came to point the way which lies within, where the Kingdom of Heaven resides.

The crucifix is a distraction.
