I am staying in a seaside hotel as a respite from the city, and I have spent most of the past two days walking along the ocean, feeling the waves soothe me.
But not just the ocean. I noticed that the sky was also trying to get my attention: resplendent sculptures in gold and white, pink tinged, billowing together and then apart, just magnificent.
The Earth and the sky are communicating with us. By listening, we lift ourselves above our busyness and the largely fractured nature of the 3D world and become attuned to serenity. But we will not hear the message if our attention is constantly being diverted.
God does not speak to us solely through our meditations, our visions and our dreams.
