One of my favorite operatic arias is Nessun Dorma, in particular the final unifying note.
In the last moments of this exquisite music, the chorus swells, each voice rising in a wonderful symphony of disparate voices, almost as though they are crying out their own passion and unique vision, which nevertheless blends into the whole.
But in the last moment, they take a collective breath and the single, exquisite note that prevails is unified and pure... and it takes my breath away.... it always has.
