Now that we have an important epoch coming to a close, I feel compelled to reflect upon my vision of a New Earth and what that would look like.
Here is what I came up with, and it is a wonderful exercise to go through as we swing to the end of 2012. Perhaps we can all post our visions online to coincide with the winter solstice on December 21.
My New Earth:
- Women would no longer be abused, raped, and degraded. They would no longer be second class citizens in their homes, places of worship or workplace. They would rise up to claim their full power as 50% of humanity.
- Children and young people would be honored and listened to. Their visions of the Earth are important to us as the younger they are, the more pure they are in their thinking, like we used to be before we succumbed to duality.
- Gay people, the transgendered, would also be honored as equals, because they are.
- Greed would no longer dominate the political and corporate agendas. There would be no more attempts to have the tiny minority of the rich and super rich profit even more than they do now at the expense of the poor, the indigent, the unwell, the lame.
- Those who run the world’s corporations, finally realizing that their depletion of the Earth’s resources at the rate they have been doing so will kill their children too, adopt a triple bottom line mandate of people/planet/profit, in that order, as social enterprises currently do.
- We envelop and serve those in need, in our back yard, and across the globe.
- We honor Nature and all of her creations.
- We dismantle the toxic poisons of any religion that is based upon hatred of the “other” or on rigid dogma, false piety and the law, and especially those where men lord it over women, and we leave ourselves free to worship the Divine as we choose. This may include a church, synagogue, mosque or temple, but because we now worship with our hearts, and in spirit and in truth, this may also include a field or grove, a mountaintop, through our art or our music, through the camaraderie of those we love, through peering into the heavens with a telescope or into the minutiae of a biological form in a laboratory.
- Greed gives way to harmony in our relations with each other and the Earth which, I believe, will lead to greater abundance for all.
- We respect everyone, regardless of color, gender, religion, disability, sexual inclination; culture…God has many faces. Ego is dissolved, as no one at the end of the day is better than anyone else.
We work together to re-create the Garden on Earth as it was intended. We walk with each other and with the Angels, and we collectively destroy the Tower of Babel forever.
