Is Canada being silent in the case of Jamal Khashoggi?

Is Canada speaking up about the gruesome murder of social activist Jamal Khashoggi?

Truly, many stood behind Chrystia Freeland's tweet about the incarceration of women' rights activist and blogger Raif Badawi.  The resulting outrageous anger and sanctions of the Saudi prince is quite enlightening, especially given this recent murder.

We pride ourselves on our human rights record here is Canada (well, in contemporary terms in any event).  So is the silence now a reflection of Canada's contract with Saudi Arabia of $15 billion dollars worth of armored vehicles leading to the reticence?  Vehicles that the government insists are not being used in Yemen?

Truly the world needs Canada to speak up now in the face of this atrocity.  The silence is deafening.
