This is the title of an article in today's New York Times, written by author Mustafa Akyol, and you can click here to read this.
I just returned from Bethlehem. It is now in Palestinian hands and located next to a refugee camp that we visited. The article states that the Koran mentions both Jesus and Mary in very glowing terms.
Jesus is called the "Messiah" in the Koran and Mary is mentioned 14 times, far more than she is in the Bible and more than any other woman in the Koran.
It behooves us to remember and embrace any point of conciliation at this holy time of the year, regardless of our backgrounds.
