There are many of us who refuse to believe that the status quo is acceptable any longer. That it is not okay for the vulnerable: women, children, the infirm, the planet, to be abused, killed, cast aside like detritus to serve the needs of the status quo, those who have deemed themselves the "powers that be".
The old world is being transformed and each of us, no matter what our station or where we reside, has a say in what emerges.
I believe that there is a world weariness to what was: the old power structures of patriarchy, religion when it wounds, of money and money's vested interests, and there is a newly emerging desire for harmony in the affairs of the world, and of the Earth, and that a New Year is a wonderful time to affirm this.
The "powers that be" would love us to continue in our demented subservience, in our mindless pursuit of the status quo, but the reality is that this is no longer sustainable, and we all know this, deep inside.
2013 is a New Year, with New Hope, New Visions and New Dreams.
