In the 72 hours between the time the World Trade Center towers in Manhattan were destroyed and we waited to find out if our clients in those buildings were also lost, I had a dream about Kali.
In this dream I was walking along the streets of the city and a friend pulled me into a temple.
"Come", she said, "We are worshiping Kali", and we walked into a vast hall where the god's presence was palpable.
What we are going through today is also reminiscent of Kali and her great power. Of course, many equate her with destruction only, She is the great destroyer.
But what we need to remember is that out of chaos and destruction comes new life, and that you cannot have one without the other.
